Public passenger transport in the structure of municipal infrastructure

The article examines issues related to public passenger transport in municipalities, while examining the socio-economic aspect of the stated topic. It shows the importance of passenger transport in modern conditions, when the number of vehicles is steadily growing and, accordingly, additional difficulties arise in the functioning of passenger transport, their solution requires improving the transport infrastructure. The concepts of transport infrastructure and transport complex are disclosed. The subjects of ownership of both transport infrastructure facilities and vehicles used to provide public transport services in municipalities are specified. To form the author's position, scientific works on this issue, the norms of federal laws regulating the considered transport relations in municipalities are analyzed. At the same time, the emphasis is on studying the state of passenger transport in relation to cities, given that the number of urban population is increasing in Russia, and it is in cities, especially in megalopolises, that a difficult situation with the development of transport infrastructure and the organization of road traffic is developing.
