Patent as an instrument of protection of intellectual property in Russia

The article deals with the essence of a patent as an instrument for the protection of intellectual property. The authors compare two ways of protecting intellectual property of such a patent and commercial secret. The role of the patent system as one of the key factors of the country's technological development is described.
