Patents for “green” technologies: ways to improve legislation

“Green” technologies are one of the effective means of overcoming the adverse effects of climate change. Intellectual property law, and above all, patent law, plays an important role in ensuring the rights to these objects. Patent data are indispensable as indicators and drivers of technical innovation. Exclusive rights certified by patents provide rights holders with advantages in the development of new technologies and provide marketing positions in the field of transfer of “green” technologies. The article analyzes the proposals for improving the patent system formulated by scientists from foreign countries.
