Phosphorus is a macronutrient vital for humans, which is the main component of all cells of the body. It is involved in most metabolic processes and is necessary for the formation of tissues (especially nervous and bone). Phosphorus metabolism disorders can lead to serious metabolic disorders in bone and nervous tissues. Purpose: to study phosphorus metabolism, its humoral regulation, the effect on the human body and the manifestations of possible pathological reactions in the violation of the metabolism of this macronutrient. It should be noted that in many countries there is an increase in the number of people with diseases caused by disorders associated with phosphorus metabolism, which cannot leave doctors without attention. That is why this work will be useful for reading as a preventive measure in order to familiarize people with the problem put forward, as well as to reduce the percentage of morbidity in the world.
