Argumentation for application of cordyceps-containing supplemenys in patients with age-related macular degeneration

Ancient Chinese medicine gave us multiple medications with unique effects. Their application allows to solve many problems that are considered unsolvable by modern medicine. Due to the special technology of their production, these biologically active supplements are very close to conventional drugs in terms of their speed of action and concentration of active ingredients [3, 4]. We failed to find the data clarifying their mechanisms of action in the case of eye disorders. In our opinion, it is particularly interesting to provide an argumentation for application of Cordyceps in patients with age-related macular degeneration, taking into account the mechanisms of action of Cordyceps-containing supplements and the disease pathogenesis.
