The article reveals the patriotic education of children as an important task of pre-school education. The success of the work on patriotic education depends on the rightly chosen position of the teacher in the process of organizing and building this activity, as well as determining its content. The main task of work in this area can be defined as the formation of children's interest in their home, land, its history and culture, to show the complexity, inconsistency, ambiguity of the historical path of their native land.
