Patriotism and the role of internal affairs officers in the patriotic education of citizens

Patriotism is an important cultural and moral component of human character. Due to the fact that during each stage of formation and formation of the Russian Federation this concept was modified and acquired new meaning, at the present moment of formation of society patriotism has many definitions. Each person decides for himself what patriotism is and what it manifests itself in. In modern Russian society, patriotic education of citizens takes an important place. The authorities of the country often hold various kinds of events aimed at inculcating citizens with patriotic values. But not only the authorities of the country are engaged in patriotic education, in this activity are involved and employees of internal affairs bodies. Involvement of employees of internal affairs bodies for realization of the purpose of patriotic education of citizens is explained by the fact that in the understanding of a large number of the population police officers are an example of patriotism and courage. This article deals with the history of the development of such a term as «patriotism», the role of internal affairs officers in the patriotic education of the population of the country, as well as a detailed consideration of the multifaceted issues of the term «patriotism». The aim of the article is to reveal in the historical context the connection between of the main ideological constructs and patriotic values shared by the majority of patriotic values shared by the majority of Russians, as well as the influence of internal affairs officers on the patriotic education of citizens.
