Patriotism: perspectives of influence in the Russian society

In the article prospects of growing the influence of patriotism in Russian society are determined. The author believes that situational patriotism or patriotism in extreme situations can be transformed into a modern patriotism which focuses on the social mutual assistance and cooperation at the micro level and the mobilization of society for the implementation of innovative development projects. This problem is considered in the context of increasing patriotic reference of social groups and strata of Russian society. Patriotism is accepted as an algorithm of social communications in the Russian society, to promote a dialogue between the society and the state, the society and the elite.
