The article presents the system software developed by the Institute of Informatics. A.K. Ailamazyan RAS, in cooperation with domestic companies, high-speed communication network Web based on active optical cables (AOC) and programmable logic integrated circuits (FPGA). This network is designed for use in high-performance computing systems (supercomputers). Within the project, a network adapter card, active optical cables, as well as hardware (based on FPGA) and software were developed. The technical characteristics of the network are at the modern level and provide a data transfer rate of up to 56 Gbit / s between the two cards via an active optical cable.
