Print media as a tool for development and promotion of Ukrainian publishing house "Smoloskyp"

The article analyses the role of the print media in the development of the Ukrainian publishing house "Smoloskyp" ("Torch") in the diaspora (USA) and in the time of the Independent Ukraine. The research pays attention to the role of the publishing house’s own editions, in particular to the journal "Smoloskyp", which in the diaspora was the mouthpiece for Ukrainian emigrants and dissidents from the USSR, and in the Independent Ukraine became an edition for the contemporary creative youth of the "Smoloskyp" in today's book market. The article considers how specialized periodicals represent for readers "Smoloskyp"s activity in books reviews, articles about this publishing house and interviews with its heads.
