This article is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Pechora Natural History Station of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, the 115th anniversary of the Pechora Agricultural Experimental Station, the 105th anniversary of the Komi Republic, and the Year of the Village in the Komi Republic (2026). The work reveals historical aspects of the formation and development of agricultural science in the Pechora region till modern transformations, noting the contribution of the Pechora Natural History Station of the Imperial Academy of Sciences and the Pechora Agricultural Experimental Station to the sustainable development of rural areas, food security strengthening, and preserving traditional forms of nature management. The novelty and depth of research lies in an attempt to systematise the formation and development of the Pechora Natural History Station of the Imperial Academy of Sciences and the Pechora Agricultural Experimental Station as structures in the development of northern agricultural science in Russia. The research methods used include the historical method, analysis, synthesis, and generalisation.
