Pedagogical, educational and scientific-educational activity of the inspector of the Don theological seminary A. A. Kirillov (1856-1922)

In the article, on the basis of various archival and published materials, the scientific, educational, pedagogical and church-public activities of the inspector of the Don Theological Seminary, Andrei Alexandrovich Kirillov, are considered during his service in the Don Diocese. Some attention is paid to the period of his activity as an inspector of the Don Theological Seminary. A. A. Kirillov more than twenty years served as inspector of the theological seminary. In more detail, the article deals with the publishing and editorial activities of AA Kirillov, who from July 1883 to December 1901 and from December 1905 to March 1908. Acted editor of the journal “Don diocesan statements”. In addition, Kirillov was the editor of the appendix to the diocesan lists “The Finger of God. Collection of edifying legends from modern life “and the journal” Don Church Elderly “, which was published by the church-historical committee of the Don Diocese. It was during this period that a large number of articles by Kirillov appeared on church history topics. All this makes it possible to say that AA Kirillov was one of the outstanding figures of the Don Theological Seminary in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
