Pedagogical conditions for the organization of foreign language education as a factor in the professional socialization of the individual

The significance of socialization as a socio-cultural process increases due to its special role in the development of the individual as a phenomenon that integrates the intellectual, emotional, sensory and activity spheres. The article reveals and clarifies the concepts: “foreign language education”, “foreign language professional self-education”, “factor”, “professional socialization”. The structural elements of foreign language education and the content of the process of professional socialization are determined. The current approaches of scientists to the problem of foreign language education, foreign language self-education, and professional socialization are considered. Methodological approaches are identified (value-based, communicative-activity-based, competency-based). The basic principles of teaching foreign languages are characterized: psychological comfort, ergodesign, communicative orientation. The pedagogical conditions of foreign language education are identified: 1) the use of innovative technologies, 2) personal development support for a student’s foreign language education, 3) the inclusion of students in working with scientific texts in English. The role of foreign language education and self-education in education, socio-cultural development and socialization of the individual is revealed. Attention is paid to the issues of updating the dialogue of cultures in modern society. Practical experience in foreign language education of students is presented.
