The article deals with the concept of life expectancy, its scientific terminology, interpretation. The analysis of the trend of a number of dynamics of life expectancy in Russia for 2000-2017 years by the method of analytical alignment of the function equation. On the basis of the constructed mathematical model, as well as using other methods, the forecast values up to 2030 are calculated.
