The article discusses the offensive operation of the Southern front of the Red army, under the command of M. V. Frunze, 1920 to capture the fortifications on the Perekop isthmus (connects the Crimea with the mainland) at the Chongarsky and Sivash crossings and liberate the Crimean peninsula from the Russian army P. N. Wrangel.
