Correspondence between historians Fyodor Popov and Vadim Garmiza: to the historiography of Committee of members of the constituent assembly and the civil war in Russia

The article is devoted to the letters by the Moscow historian Vadim V. Garmiza and Kuibyshev local historian Fyodor G. Popov. The analysis of the correspondence allowed to reveal the remarks concerning the factual mistakes revealed by Popov after the study of Garmiza’s monograph. The authors describe the problems faced by Vladimir Garmiza during the publication of his monograph. The correspondence demonstrates the specifics of the organization of historical studies in the USSR in the 1970s.
