The moral consideration often refers to the metaphors of illness and health, images of patient and healer. Nietzsche and Foucault employed a philosophical method of genealogy for investigating the realm of morality and paid special attention to these references. Both philosophers constituted few hypothesis about process and conditions of confluence of the moral and medical discourses. An analysis of their assumptions identifies some similarities and differences in the genealogical projects developed by Nietzsche and Foucault.
