The resettlement process in the North Caucasus in the second half of the nineteenth century

The article is devoted to the study of the policy of the Russian Empire in the North Caucasus, in particular, by the method of colonization of the region to simplify the implementation of the Russian management system. It is noted that the demographic changes that took place in the Caucasus region due to the settlement of the region by the Russian, Armenian and German elements were based not only on the colonization policy of the Russian Empire, but also on the national liberation movement of the mountaineers of the Caucasus.
