Periodical press as a source on the history of Yaroslavl city self-government in 1871-1914

The article examines the main groups of sources applicable to the study of Yaroslavl city self-government in 1871-1914, provides a grouping of a set of sources, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of using each of the groups, as well as the informativeness for studying a given topic. The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various newspapers and magazines as historical sources in the context of the study of Yaroslavl city self-government in 1871-1914.
