Persian campaign in 1909 in the estimatation of socio-political forces of the Russian empire

In the article the problem of the attitude of Russian political parties to bringing Russian troops into Northern Persia in 1909 is analyzed. The research is based on the study of archival materials, transcripts of speeches at the State Duma and party periodicals. The author concludes that the armed intervention found understanding and principled support from all the social-political forces of the Russian Empire represented in the Duma with the exception of the Social Democrats.
