A character as an object of copyright

The article is devoted to the study of the character as an object of copyright. The authors analyzed the concept of a character, investigated the place of the character in relation to the work of art, of which he is a part, and considered the opinions of researchers on this issue. The conclusion is made about the possibility of specifying the concept of «character» in civil legislation and a corresponding proposal is made.
