Purpose: To identify prospective directions for the formation of police positive image in public opinion Methodology: We used a special scientific cognition methods: formal legal, comparative legal, historical, system analysis and others. Results: The activity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the information, ideological, propaganda and educational fields contributes to the formation of police positive image in public opinion. At the same time, it is necessary to formulate a positive image of the police and its employees in public opinion, highlight the main areas of interaction of police with the public, institutions in all major areas of modern media communications (television, radio, print and electronic media, the Internet, outdoor advertising and other media) civil society, the general population.
