The article is devoted to the teaching of applied statistics in high schools. There are problematic aspects that demand special attention and their solving in the teaching of applied statistics. The author considers the potential for improving teaching of the applied statistics and shows approaches that will serve as a methodical basis for that. In particular, there is offered method of using "living" semantic link of numerical data with their visual display.
