Prospects of the digital transformation of logistics

Digital transformation of logistics is one of the key areas of the digital economy formation both in Russia and abroad. The transport and logistics complex is intended to provide various sectors of the economy with quality services for the transportation of material resources and finished manufactures, being a link between many economic actors. The digitalization of logistics is associated with the introduction of various digital technologies in the processes of receiving orders, warehousing and transportation, however, there are various scenarios of digital transformation in this field, which is associated both with a variety of technological solutions and with the willingness of organizations providing logistics services to begin a full-scale process of introducing digital technologies in their business activities. In the article current trends in the development of the transport and logistics complex in Russia were analyzed, possible scenarios for digital transformation of logistics were formulated, and also the prospects for digitalization of this sector in Russia were appraised.
