The paper presents innovative engineering solutions for the onboard radio system and the ground system for controlling the mission of the long-duration orbital station MIR and BURAN orbiter and their further development in the present-day similar systems on the Russian Segment of the International Space Station (ISS) and in manned spacecraft SOYUZ-MS and unmanned cargo spacecraft PROGRESS-MS.
