Prospects of researching archival system as an institution of social management

The article considers an archival system in the context of institutional approach. Basing upon the theoretical analysis of T. Parsons the author distinguishes and analyzes functions of the archival system as a social management institution, as well as the social structure’s levels, which form a basis for the archival system.
