Perspective for studying alien flora of Belarus

Data on alien plant species in the flora of Belarus are summarized and prospects for studying the adventive component of the flora are noted. Over a short historical period, more than 3,000 taxa of alien plants have been registered and are currently being registered in the flora of Belarus (excluding collections of specialized nurseries and botanical gardens). Most alien plant species appeared in the flora of Belarus as a result of introduction. The penetration of alien plant species through transport communications in recent years has not been as active as in previous years. A promising direction for studying the diversity of alien plants in Belarus is to identify polemochore plants, that came here during military operations in the country.
