Prospects for scientific and technological development in Republic of Kazakhstan

The paper presents a brief analysis of the science, technology and innovation policy of Kazakhstan and discuss the issues related to identification of the priorities for the future development. Results of the National Foresight projects conducted in the Republic of Kazakhstan are presented. Foresight as an important tool for shaping the vision and strategy of science, technology and innovation development in the long term is considered in the paper.
