The civil aircraft industry is an important element in the national economy development. Under sanctions pressure from a number of foreign countries, the issue of import substitution becomes particularly relevant. The Russian Federation is successfully increasing production of civil medium-range narrow-body aircraft thanks to effective measures of state support. More than 200 SSJ-100 aircrafts have been produced over the past 12 years. And the MS-21 airliner is now being prepared for full-scale production. Based on the analysis of the fleet structure of airlines in Russia and EAEU countries, the paper concludes on the civil aircraft industry prospects in the Russian Federation in overcoming the macroeconomic crisis caused by the negative impact on the passenger airline market and the civil aircraft industry.
