Prospects of raising the retirement age: social bases and public representations

In article the prospect of modernization of pension system by raising the retirement age is considered. The analysis of statistical data defines the social and demographic bases of change of limit of working capacity, and results of the All-Russian polls show degree of readiness of the population of the country to accept possible transformations of pension system. Addressing experience of the European countries in the solution of the matter, the option of loan of practice of flexible retirement is considered.
