Prospects of application the Floodmap GIS technologies to predict the risk of flooding on water bodies in Voronezh oblast

Some questions of the organization the monitoring and prediction of floods using information system was considered. The analysis of the impact of hydrological conditions in 2011 the passage of spring floods in 2012 in the Voronezh region are made. It was shown the relationship of spatial analysis and geographic systems on a specific water body area. On the basis of spatial analysis using FloodMap GIS technology the questions about monitoring and forecasting the flood zone due to spring flood, on the example of lower reaches of the river Bityug in Voronezh oblast.
