The article deals with the problem of application of marketing tools at agricultural enterprises of Dagestan, which is considered in the long term as an effective means capable to improve the stability and the competitiveness of the industry. The author believes that the weak scientific and methodological basis of the agricultural economics is a deterrent of agricultural marketing development in the region. It is concluded that that there is a need for creation of a marketing management system at the agricultural enterprises and involvement of public authorities in such a management.
