Prospects for the development of the innovative potential of science cities

The article considers the prospects for the development of the innovative potential of science cities. The analysis of the financing system of science cities since 2018 has shown an annual reduction in the volume of transfers allocated to science cities. The issues of financing innovative projects in the framework of the Strategies for the socio-economic development of science cities have been studied. Their predominant dependence on the specifics of the competitive procedures has been revealed. An analysis of the winners of the competition of innovative projects for science cities from 2018 to 2024 in the Russian Federation has been conducted. The Moscow region, being the leader in the number of science cities in the country, is also represented by the largest number of winners of the competition of innovative projects. Modern trends in the development of infrastructure problems of the science city are considered. Based on the analysis, the main areas of support for science cities are presented both at the federal and regional levels.
