The development prospects for behavioral control in Russian commercial banks

The research analyzes the development prospects for the behavioral control as a part of the internal control system in Russian commercial banks. The author looks at the behavioral finance theory, defines the behavioral control and determines the prerequisite for the development of behavioral control theory. The focus of the study is on the Central Bank attitude towards behavioral aspects and possibilities for upgrading financial technologies. The author notes that in the face of increasing complexity of the financial market relations, the concept of behavior has already drawn attention of the Central Bank and can serve as an important complement to the current system of internal control in commercial banks. It is concluded that innovative digital financial technologies open up great opportunities for receiving information to provide behavioral control and contribute to its improvement due to the need to develop instruments for the behavioral control of new processes.
