Prospects for the development of the food market of the Russian Federation in the context of modern geopolitical challenges

The article examines the dynamics of the development of the Russian agro-food market, substantiates the need to accelerate the process of import substitution of food products. The characteristics of geopolitical challenges (natural, technogenic, economic, political, social) are given, their influence on the possibilities of developing the domestic food sector in the future and strengthening the position of the Russian agro-food sector is analyzed. The factors influencing the development of agricultural production are characterized. The model of the mobilization economy is described as a promising model of the economic development of the Russian Federation. Among the advantages of the mobilization model of the economy, to overcome the crisis processes, the following are highlighted: state regulation, state guarantees for all economic entities; accumulation of monetary resources for specific industries and sectors of the economy in the framework of the implementation of the goals and objectives (aimed mainly at the industrialization of the economy); the possibility of achieving the set goals of economic development in a shorter time, including due to more rational use of limited resources; reducing unemployment to a minimum, since the process of industrialization implies the need for labor resources; reduction and elimination of fraudulent schemes in the sectors of the economy; creation of a protective shield of the domestic economy from external threats. The main tools of the mobilization model of economies are identified, which include: plans and programs for the development of specific industries; the concentration of financial resources in the Russian Federation and their redistribution in the sectors of the economy that need to be developed for the purposes of import substitution; state monopoly of foreign trade and state currency monopoly.
