Prospects for the development of the Northern Sea Route

This article outlines the features of the development of the Northern Sea Route. The reasons that create obstacles to the improvement of this route are considered. These include, for example, a large extent, the presence of shallow areas remote from the shore for a long distance, insufficient knowledge of the bottom relief, severe ice conditions. As a result, we proposed solutions to the above problems, and the prospect of the NSR for the near future was highlighted.
