Prospects for development of service sphere in Russia

The article considers the main trends of formation and development of the sphere of service in Russia in the historical aspect. The correlation between GDP growth rates and trends in the income level of the population, which in turn determines the demand of the population for basic services, is shown. There is a tendency to decrease the share of the services sector in the total GDP since 2014 and to maintain it for the forecast period until 2022.
