Prospects of development of trade and economic relations of Russia and Kazakhstan

The article analyzes the structure of trade and investment relations between Russia and Kazakhstan. This study is relevant because it allows you to identify the most promising areas for the development of Russian-Kazakh trade cooperation, export-import relations and investment activities of countries. The most promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of direct investment with Kazakhstan are considered. The analysis of the dynamics of exports and imports of critical goods, the structure of Russian-Kazakh trade for the period from 2015 to 2019 is analyzed. Russia and Kazakhstan continue to work to improve friendly diplomatic relations. This is facilitated by cooperation in a number of areas related to both trade and investment (industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, jewelry, information technology). The most promising area of both investment and trade cooperation between the countries, of course, is the oil and gas sector.
