Prospects for the development of transit potential of the Eurasian Economic Union

The article considers the role and features of the development of the transit potential of the Eurasian Economic Union countries. The main advantages of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union among the movement of transport, goods, and services across the territory of the EES are identified. A sufficiently ramified transport network of the EES makes it possible to provide transit freight traffic in communications between the East, the West, and also the countries of South-West Asia. In the framework of the prospects for the development of transit potential, the Republic of Kazakhstan is taking a favorable territorial position.
