The article is devoted to the development of tourism in single-industry towns. The article describes the problems and prospects of socio-economic development of single-industry towns, emphasizes the possibility of expanding the range of products of enterprises and the use of the economy of single-industry towns. As an example of a monotown, the city of Elabuga of the Republic of Tatarstan was chosen. The article describes the historical and geographical location and tourist opportunities of the city.
