Prospects for transformation of traditional financial instruments in the context of digitalization

This article analyzes the trends and key drivers of development in the Russian stock market, examines methods and tools for managing assets on the global market, and proposes a strategy for adaptation by asset management companies to the growth of digital assets. The global digital transformation affecting all aspects of economic system functioning, including asset management, has necessitated the development of digital technologies and the emergence of new forms and classes of assets. In these conditions, capital management market participants are forced to transform their activities and adopt new methods for managing digital assets. The study provides a detailed assessment of the state of the capital management stock market, identifies drivers of asset value growth, and investigates the effectiveness of strategies for developing professional securities market participants’ activities. An evaluation of risks and prospects for using digital financial assets as objects of collective investment is conducted. The application of blockchain technology and smart contracts in creating and exchanging cryptocurrencies will contribute to the emergence of new areas of their use. Finally, recommendations are presented regarding the introduction of new digital instruments into traditional stock markets, which will become a new vector for the development of financial relations.
