Prospects of opportunities for improving the tourist infrastructure in the Okinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia

This article will analyze the key indicators of the prospects for the development of sustainable tourism in the Okinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia. The main factor due to which the tourism sector of the region is currently developing is the availability of rich natural resources, which include such components as rivers, lakes, mineral springs, which are combined with the mountainous terrain of the Eastern Sayans, which eventually gives picturesque natural monuments. The historically determined location of the district is characterized as the westernmost-farthest from the capital of the Republic of Buryatia, and the closest to the borders with Mongolia, Tyva and Irkutsk region. The characteristics of the Okinsky district have all the chances for the development of tourism. Therefore, the study of the current state of the tourist infrastructure and its prospects becomes the main purpose of this article. The analysis of the region carried out in this article touches on the key characteristics of tourism, its impact on the livelihoods of the local population and the problems hindering the development of the entire infrastructure. The conclusion is also made about the importance of a systematic and full-scale approach to the effective development of tourism, affecting the key factors of life not only in the region, but also in the whole country.
