The first trace elements geochemistry and carbon isotope data of the graphite eclogites of the Maksyutov complex (Southern Urals mountains)

We present the first data on the geochemistry and isotopes of carbon graphite eclogite maksyutov metamorphic complex. Found that graphite eclogites are enriched as a group of rare earth elements with a sharp predominance of LREE. In addition, they have high content of U, Th, Sr, P and Nd. Carbon isotopic characteristics vary between -22.1 to -25.0 ‰, averaging -23.8 ‰, which generally close to the 13C content in graphite dispersed in the silicate mantle rock mass. It is concluded that the graphite eclogite protolith maksyutov metamorphic complex were either carbon-igneous rocks, or they are fragments of mantle eclogites, tectonically complex embedded in the substrate interaction subducting slab upper mantle.
