First periodicals of provincial city Barnaul in the late XIX - early XX century: typological and content features

In article investigates the processes of emergence and development of journalism in the provincial city Barnaul, the large industrial and cultural center of the Tomsk province, at the end of XIX - the beginning of the XX century. The short characteristic of pre-revolutionary Barnaul is given, typological and substantial features of the «Barnaul Daily Telegrams» and «Barnaul News» editions appearing in I. D. Rebrov's printing house are analyzed, the history of interaction of editions is traced. It is concluded that the first newspaper of Barnaul, «Daily telegrams», was the information and advertising edition reflecting the main events not only the all-Russian, but also local Siberian life. «The Barnaul news» paid special attention to cultural and public life of the city and Siberia, supported party of Octoberists that was reflected in the content of newspaper polemic of Barnaul citizens with the Tomsk newspaper «Siberian Life».
