The first steps on the way to the process-based approach

The paper deals with an important problem of the domestic instrument engineering industry, namely, that of certification of engineering. Solving this problem is prerequisite for bringing the instruments to the world markets. Analysis of the specific task of application of the International Quality Management Standard at the instrument making enterprises is offered.
