The first steps of consumer cooperation in the Soviet Siberian village

Article lights features of formation of system of cooperation in the first decade of the Soviet power. On the example of Yalutorovsky and Novozaimsky areas of the Tyumen district of the Ural area statistical and contemporary records about involvement of the peasantry in different types of public and economic associations are analysed. Members of the Tyumen consumer societies on an equal basis with purchase and sale of goods were engaged in production and sale of grain crops, cultivation of meat cattle. The role of the Soviet consumer cooperation in development of regional economy, maintenance of the Siberian peasants in the years of Civil war, preservation and modernization of the system of cooperation existing since pre-revolutionary time is revealed.
