A letter to the editor

This correspondence is devoted to the discovery (invention) of magnetic-resonance imaging techniques for medicobiological objects, which form the basis of magnetic-resonance tomographs (MRT). MRT emergence and application are often considered as the beginning of a new era in medicine and biology.
