The language formation towards the Chinese dialects in People’s Republic of China in the second half of the 20th century

The article analyses the development of the policy towards the Chinese dialects in People’s Republic of China in the second half of the 20 -century and states its main stages. The author defines the most common tasks of language planning in this field and exposes its techniques. The article also defines some peculiarities of PRC policy towards the Chinese dialects.
