Plasma torch with the high-life cathode

Бесплатный доступ

Literature review on the creation of electric arc plasma torch with high-life cathode is presented. The principal possibility of an unlimited increase in the service life of the cathode coated with a film of carbon nanostructured materials, which is formed due to the deposition of ions and carbon atoms from the protective carbon-containing atmosphere of the arc, is shown. The formed film is a graphene structure (graphene, nanofibers, nanofibers, bundles of carbon nanotubes) formed on a glass-carbon base and is an ideal material to protect the cathode from erosion. It is shown that in order to ensure stable continuous operation of the plasma torch, it is necessary to ensure the stability of the supply of hydrocarbon gas to the cathode region of the arc.
