The article is concerned the criminological characteristics of the beatings in the structure of violent criminality. The paper is presented the beatings through the prism of violent criminality and kinds of violence. It is analyzed the causes and conditions, contributing to the committing of the beatings, the characteristics of injured persons and measures to fight with this phenomenon is presented.
